Including exports, M&HCV truck sales stood at 9,616 units during June 2026, compared with 6,657 units a year ago, also reflecting 44% growth. Cumulative sales increased 18% year-on-year to 23,954 units.
Bus sales remain lower than last year
Domestic M&HCV bus sales were 1,673 units during June 2026, compared with 2,315 units in June 2025, reflecting a 28% decline. During the April-June period, domestic bus sales stood at 4,091 units, down 29% from 5,726 units recorded a year earlier.
Including exports, M&HCV bus sales totalled 2,540 units in June 2026, compared with 3,172 units in June 2025, representing a 20% decline. Cumulative sales also declined 29% year-on-year to 5,470 units.
Light commercial vehicle sales improve
Domestic light commercial vehicle (LCV) sales increased to 6,781 units during June 2026 from 5,315 units in the corresponding month last year, representing 28% year-on-year growth. For the April-June period, domestic LCV sales reached 18,874 units, reflecting 21% growth.
On a domestic plus exports basis, LCV sales stood at 7,038 units in June 2026, compared with 5,504 units a year earlier, representing 28% growth. Cumulative LCV sales increased 20% year-on-year to 19,339 units.
