Lemon Tree Hotels Limited (NSE:LEMONTREE) has announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Janakpur in Nepal. The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

The announcement was made through a stock exchange filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. With this development, the company continues to expand its presence in international markets, particularly within South Asia.

Nepal Portfolio Grows To Eight Properties

Following the latest signing, Lemon Tree Hotels' portfolio in Nepal has increased to eight properties. According to the company, this includes three operational hotels and five upcoming properties.

At the group level, the international portfolio now stands at 11 properties comprising six operational hotels and five upcoming projects across Nepal, Bhutan and Dubai.

The company currently operates two hotels in Bhutan and one property in Dubai, reflecting its growing international footprint beyond India.

Janakpur Chosen As Strategic Hospitality Destination

The newly signed hotel is located in Janakpurdham in Nepal's Dhanusha District. Janakpur is regarded as one of South Asia's prominent pilgrimage destinations and is associated with Goddess Sita, Lord Ram and the historic Mithila Kingdom.

The city attracts visitors from Nepal and India throughout the year, particularly during festivals such as Vivah Panchami and Ram Navami. The company stated that increasing connectivity and tourism activity have contributed to growing travel demand in the region.

The property's location places it near key attractions including Janaki Temple, Ram Mandir, Vivah Mandap, Dhanush Sagar and Ganga Sagar.
