Revenue and Earnings Register Double-Digit Growth
On a standalone basis, total revenue for the quarter stood at INR 18,343 crore, compared with INR 15,932 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.1%.
EBITDA increased 16.3% to INR 1,527 crore from INR 1,313 crore a year earlier. EBITDA margin improved slightly to 8.3% from 8.2% in the year-ago period.
Profit after tax (PAT) rose 12.8% year-on-year to INR 936 crore, compared with INR 830 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26. PAT margin stood at 5.1%, marginally lower than 5.2% reported a year earlier.
Basic earnings per share increased to INR 14.35 during Q1 FY27 from INR 12.75 in Q1 FY26.
On a consolidated basis, total revenue reached INR 18,795 crore, compared with INR 16,360 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Consolidated EBITDA stood at INR 1,499 crore, up from INR 1,299 crore in Q1 FY26, while EBITDA margin improved to 8.0% from 7.9%.
Consolidated PAT increased to INR 860 crore from INR 773 crore in the year-ago quarter. Basic earnings per share rose to INR 13.20 from INR 11.88.
Store Expansion Continues
During the June quarter, Avenue Supermarts added three new stores, taking its total network to 503 stores across India. The company noted that this figure includes one store in Navi Mumbai that remains closed to customers due to reconstruction.
As of June 30, 2026, the retailer operated stores across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, NCR, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Daman, Goa, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Haryana, covering a retail business area of 20.7 million square feet.
The company continues to follow its Everyday Low Cost–Everyday Low Price (EDLC-EDLP) strategy, which focuses on procuring goods at competitive prices while leveraging operational and distribution efficiencies to offer products at competitive prices.

Commenting on the performance of the brick-and-mortar business, Managing Director and CEO Anshul Asawa said, "Our revenue in Q1 FY27 grew by 15.1% over the previous year. Profit after tax (PAT) grew by 12.8% over the previous year. Two years and older DMart stores grew by 5.5% during Q1 FY27 as compared to 7.1% in Q1 FY26."
He added, "In large metros, growth in older stores which have significantly higher revenue per square foot was flat this quarter. While stores in non-metros continue to grow well. We opened 3 new stores during the quarter taking our total store count to 503."
E-Commerce Business Update
Commenting on DMart Ready, Whole Time Director and CEO of Avenue E-Commerce Limited Vikram Dasu said, "We continue to deepen our focus in large metro cities while improving our model. During the quarter, we have discontinued our operations in seven cities which were marginal contributors. As of June 30, 2026, we operate in 11 cities."
