Africa business revenue increased 22.3% in constant currency terms. The region reported margin expansion in both EBITDA and EBIT metrics. Customer base in Africa stood at approximately 184 million across multiple markets.

Operational Metrics

The total customer base stood at approximately 665.9 million across 15 countries. Smartphone data customers increased by 20.0 million year-on-year. Data usage rose 32.8% year-on-year to 31.4 GB per user per month. Postpaid net additions were 0.8 million during the quarter. Net debt to EBITDAaL ratio stood at 0.79 times on an annualised basis.
